Always, the first question one is asked after undertaking such an arduous journey with young 'uns is "how did they sleep?" When they slept, they slept well, just not enough, perhaps 3-4 hours each on the 14-hour, late night trip to Sydney. After a two hour layover, they were both asleep before the plane pushed back, and stayed that way, for the one-hour flight on to Melbourne.

The sleep-deficit did catch up with them, as Zachary isn't even making it past the covers in mummy's childhood bed.

The first night was rough, with both kids awake around 4am and cranky the better part of the day. After a visit from the cousins, Haley decided to pick lemons in the back yard. Despite not being quite ripe, Haley pulled and pulled, but the lemon would not let go.

In the meantime, Zachary and the boys were at a local polo match with pony rides! Zachary told everybody for the next couple of days that his favorite horse is named Strawberry.

And, he seems to know that he is doing something special!
